Charlotte Hay – (Female, 50s) George’s actress wife. She helps to run the acting troupe and plays all the leads, even those for which she is a bit too old. Must be able to do an upper-class British accent.

Ethel – (Female, 70s) Charlotte’s grumpy, trouble-making mother. She is hard of hearing, which leads to many comic misunderstandings. This actress must have a huge stage presence and strong comedic skills.

Rosalind “Roz” Hay – (Female, 20-30) George and Charlotte’s daughter. She left the acting troupe for a “real career”, determined to never act again – or be like her parents. Must be able to do an upper-crust British accent.

Eileen – (Female, early 20s) An eager-to-please aspiring actress who is having an fling with George.

Howard – (Male, late 20-early 30s) Roz’s fiancé. He is a weatherman. He is also a nervous, annoying, and very excitable wimp. Must be able to do strong physical comedy.

Paul – (Male, late 20s-early 30s) A member of the troupe who used to be in love with Rosalind and wants her back. A dedicated actor, he did not leave the troupe when she did. Must be able to do strong physical comedy.

Richard – (Male, 50s) George and Charlotte’s attorney. He loves Charlotte and constantly tries to get her to leave George. He is wealthy and used to getting what he wants, and he is both amused and perplexed by the Hay family.
